// quality, materials & sustainability

Fast doesn't mean rough.

A rush job still has to be the right part, in the right material, to size and deburred — with as little metal wasted as the nest allows. Here's how we hold quality and keep waste down even when the clock's running.

Material you can trust

We cut from sheet held in stock by established UK and European steel stockholders — mild steel, stainless (304 and 316), aluminium and brass in recognised grades. Material certification is available on request, so even on a same-day job you can keep traceability. Need a specific grade or matched batch? Supply your own material and we'll cut from that.

Reviewed before it's cut

Speed never skips the check. Before a job goes on the laser, a real engineer reviews the geometry, the minimum feature sizes for the chosen thickness, the nesting and whether the material is in stock. If something won't cut cleanly, we flag it fast and suggest a fix — so a rush order doesn't turn into a rush of scrap.

How we hold quality

  • Fibre-laser precision — a tight kerf and small heat-affected zone for clean edges and accurate holes.
  • Driven from your CAD — cut straight from your DXF/DWG, so a re-order matches the first run.
  • Deburred as needed, so parts are safe to handle and ready to use, coat or assemble.
  • Checked before dispatch — parts are inspected against the drawing before they leave, even on a same-day turnaround.

Tolerances: we work to tolerances suited to general fabrication and assembly. Need tighter? Tell us up front and we'll confirm what's achievable before you commit.

Less waste, even at speed

Every job — rush or not — is nested to make the most of each sheet, and usable offcuts are kept for small parts rather than cut from fresh metal. What can't be re-used is segregated by material and collected by a licensed metal recycler: steel, stainless and aluminium are endlessly recyclable, so our scrap goes back into the melt rather than to landfill.

Made in Andover

Cutting and, when you need it, folding, welding and powder coating all happen in one Hampshire building — no shipping half-finished parts between sites. Local making keeps the miles short, the handovers few and one team accountable for your part from sheet to dispatch. Better for quality, lighter on the planet, and a big part of how we turn work around so quickly.
